A close relation of the autumn flowering colchicums, these spring flowering corms are less well known but are hardy and easily grown in soil which is well-drained but moisture retentive. Camassia leichtlinii ‘Silk River’
A recent addition to our range of camassias, 'Silk River' is a more compact version of camassia leichtlinii alba and, like that species, has flowers of soft cream with a touch of chartreuse.
