We have had this fine old variety in our private collection for many years, occasionally making plants available for visitors to the nursery. Now, we are able to offer it on a more commercial scale, although supply is still very limited. 'Admiral Rawlings' is a strong grower, producing far more height than most dahlias, and has beautiful decorative type blooms of rich purplish red, with darker tones...

The Babylon series of dahlias has many fans and we added this purple version to our range a couple of years ago. These dahlias are typified by very large, rather informal blooms, held on strong stems. 'Babylon Paars' is a particularly strong hue, which really grabs the attention in the border. When Verwer dahlias (breeders of many of the best known modern dahlias) decided to raise a ball series, it was a dead cert that something good would come out of it. This was the variety we chose to launch with and it didn't disappoint. Fast forward a few years and we have several other 'Fox' varieties available.
