There is something especially pleasing about a well-formed ball dahlia (we have lost a few flowers on displays to visitors constantly patting them on their heads!). Introduced in 1978 by Helmut Wolf in Germany (the name gives it away), this variety has passed the test of time, still gracing gardens across Europe to this day. We loved this new collarette dahlia at first sight! The main petals are soft apricot, whilst the inner florets are tipped rose-pink - an unusual and delightful combination.
