Waterlily-type dahlias are renowned for their weather resistance (due to the reduced petal count) and charmingly natural appearance. 'Twiggy' is a lovely example of this light-headed type of dahlia, with flowers of soft pink, warmed by a hint of gold at the petal base. In cultivation, we have found that many of the flowers display open centres (more like peony-flowered dahlia), which is great for pollinating insects.The stems are also long and strong, so that it cuts well.
