Charming, multi-flowered variety, each stem bearing several flowers carried at different heights. The flowers start off near white, with painterly rose markings appearing as the flowers mature. Large, impressive flowers of lavender-mauve with waved and crested petals. Strikingly ornamental in borders. Becoming quite hard to source. The variety is a sport of 'Bleu Aimable' which is still, arguably, the bluest tulip  available. Fairly recent introduction, with gently curved petals of a good, strong orange, with some green flaming. A less extravagant parrot form which , with its none too heavy flowerheads, stands up well in the border. New in 2020 Nicely furled blooms of a pale lilac with hints of dusty rose to the outside of the petals. Quite a restrained form for a parrot tulip and the flowers are borne on strong stems, making it a particularly garden-worthy variety. Flowering in late April/May at 16" (40cm). Sumptuous, velvet-red petals, crested green mark this wonderful parrot tulip. One of the shortest and earliest of the 'parrots', it is ideal for front of border or lining paths, where its lovely scent can also be appreciated. A unique colour in tulips - there really is no other to compare to the deliciously pretty peach tones of 'Apricot Beauty'. Although classified as an 'early', it performs at the latter end of this season, effectively overlapping with the mid-season tulips.
