This recent, lily-flowered introduction has a commanding presence, with substantial flowers of rich, reddish-purple. We used it in many of our own planting combinations this year, to good effect. Large, impressive flowers of lavender-mauve with waved and crested petals. Strikingly ornamental in borders. Becoming quite hard to source. The variety is a sport of 'Bleu Aimable' which is still, arguably, the bluest tulip  available. Fairly recent introduction, with gently curved petals of a good, strong orange, with some green flaming.
