This pretty collarette variety is a recent introduction and has been showing its paces in the recently concluded RHS Dahlia Trials at Wisley Garden. The lilac flowers have a darker heart, around an open centre to draw in pollinating insects. Ball dahlia of the most amazing shocking purple-pink. The luminescent flowers are wonderful both in the border and for cutting. We grow it in our red border to fantastic effect but also works well with a dark such as 'Gipsy Night'. Pretty, ruffled flowers defy conventional dahlia categorisation and are all the more charming for it. The golden centres are an open invitation to pollinating insects and the colour of the petals range from deepest red-purple at the heart, through lighter shades of the same hue, to near white at the petal edges.
