Camassia leichtlinii 'Aurora'

Pretty new introduction with flowers of soft mauve. This year, we have noted that the bees have shown a particular penchant for the newer camassia hybrids (those with mauve-lilac blooms), which have been buzzing with the insects until the very last flower has gone over. The earlier flowering blue and cream varieties were visited by bees but didn't seem to have the same magnetic effect...
Camassia leichtlinii 'Pink Star'
New in 2023
We have grown this lovely pink form of camassia in our border for many years and now have stock for sale. It remains fairly uncommon at present, as its price reflects. We grow ours in a rose border, where it provides a pretty splash of colour just before the roses come into bloom. Flowering in May/June at around 32" (80cm).

Crocus 'Candlelight'
New for 2026
A striking recent introduction of the larger flowered Dutch crocus. The subtle colouring of white petals lightly lined with the palest lilac-blue, and with prominent orange anthers, shines out against the bare soils of late winter; a ghostly harbinger of spring. Will naturalise readily in borders or in wilder, grassy areas. Flowering in February/March at 5" (12cm).

Narcissus 'Sinopel'

Sought after variety, registered back in 1974, which is a charming alternative to the traditional 'Pheasant's Eye' narcissus. Dahlia 'Schneckenstein'

Here's one from the archives. Introduced in 1978 by Helmut Wolf in Germany (the name gives it away), this variety has passed the test of time, still gracing gardens across Europe to this day. The flowers are a lovely warm salmon pink and with the spiky form typical of semi-cactus dahlias. Excellent for both cutting and garden borders.
