Pretty new introduction with flowers of soft mauve. This year, we have noted that the bees have shown a particular penchant for the newer camassia hybrids (those with mauve-lilac blooms), which have been buzzing with the insects until the very last flower has gone over. The earlier flowering blue and cream varieties were visited by bees but didn't seem to have the same magnetic effect on them!
Our top-sized bulbs produce strong flowering stems - sometimes more than one per bulb - in late May/early June. Ht. 30" (75cm).
