This splendid recent introduction has greater robustness and vigour than some older reticulata varieties. We have been growing its companion variety 'Blue Hill' for a couple of years now and have only neglected to stock 'Purple Hill' due to its similarity to the very popular iris 'George'. The sole grower of 'George' has experienced total crop failure this season, so we are offering 'Purple Hill' as a most credible substitute. Flowering in late winter at 6" (15cm).
