Dahlia 'Maya'
Pastel-coloured dahlias are always in demand as cut flowers, as well as providing a gentler touch in the border. The soft, creamy, salmon-pink tones of 'Maya' are warmed by a hint of lemon at the heart and the flowers have a lovely, romantic feel to them. Although the plants are not very tall, this remains a popular cut flower variety.

Dahlia 'Honka Dark' (Honka Black)
There is a suspicion that 'Honka Dark' and 'Verrone's Obsidian' may be one and the same. It will take DNA testing to reveal the truth but, in growing them on the nursery and in our borders over the last few years, we have not perceived any difference. So our choice to stock Honka Black has been made on the basis of price and better tubers.

Dahlia 'Zundert Mystery Fox' AGM
If you have ever dreamed of a ball dahlia the colour of 'Karma Fuchsiana' (which is sadly no longer available), you'll love this new variety. The flowers are a real day-glo pink (really difficult to photograph!), with all the 'wow' you could hope for. Dahlia 'Shiloh Noelle'
Huge, blousy flowers, lavender at the centre and fading through the length of the petals to near white at the edges. The enormous blooms are well suppirted by strong stems. Single blooms can be cut and displayed individually in jam jars - a great idea for table top displays at an informal country wedding!

Dahlia 'Grysons Yellow Spider' AGM
We first spotted this variety in Holland some years ago and it was subsequently entered into the Wisley Trials by its Dutch breeder. A cactus dahlia, it is notable for it's extremely fine petals. In another colour it might be less effective but the pale yellow really stands out and says 'look at me'. The Trials Forum certainly approved and the variety has been given AGM status. Waterlily form flowers of rich violet-purple. Very beautiful and striking both in the border and as a cut flower. We have been growing it alongside 'Bishop of Llandaff' for the past couple of years and love the purple/red combination.

Dahlia 'Magenta Festival'
NEW IN 2025
The vibrant shocking pink tones of the no-longer grown 'Karma Fuchsiana' came to mind the moment we saw this new variety. It's a pop of colour we have been missing in our borders for a few years now, so we have high hopes for this newcomer. The flowers are a little larger and fuller than 'Fuchsiana', which makes for a real blast of saturated colour.

Dahlia 'Bright Eyes'
There are some wishy-washy coloured single dahlias around (though not in our range!), so we were delighted with the sheer vibrancy of this introduction. We submitted it for trial at Wisley a few years ago, where it gained much attention. Makes a vigorous, bushy plant, covered in blooms which are enhanced by the dusky foliage.
NOTE These tubers are produced organically and are hand harvested.

Dahlia 'Babylon Paars' ('Babylon Purple')
The Babylon series of dahlias has many fans and we added this purple version to our range a couple of years ago. These dahlias are typified by very large, rather informal blooms, held on strong stems. 'Babylon Paars' is a particularly strong hue, which really grabs the attention in the border. A single bloom looks wonderful in a bud vase.

Oh so pretty blooms of peach, with a hint of candlelight yellow at their centres and touches of pink at the edges. This premium variety is highly recommended for both cutting and for garden displays. It is a number one choice for weddings!

Dahlia 'Melissa Anna Marijke'
This lovely recent introduction follows a trend of breeders raising dahlias with flowers which have complementary colours on the top and underside of the petals. In this case, the petals sport pink-lilac & burgundy-purple hues and the plants themselves are petite enough to grow at the front of a border or in containers. Added bonus is dusky foliage.

Dahlia 'Pink Perception'
Dutch breeders have been putting some effort into raising new waterlily-type dahlias in recent years. The best of these produce a bumper crop of flowers which are produced at a consistent height over a number of plants, making them excellent for the border and as cut flowers. 'Pink Perception' is a lovely example, with flowers of clear, cool pink, which fade out at the petal ends. Very weather resistant.

Dahlia 'Fuchsia Charm'

Day-Glo purple flowers on plants of neat stature. Few other plants can compete with dahlias for producing saturated colour like this. We would mix it into a red border to give a real colour explosion but it will also work well with 'bluer' purples and lilacs.

Dahlia 'Cranberry Classic'
Charmingly informal in both its flower shape and habit, this variety sports flowers with rich cranberry at the centres and on the undersides of the petals, with paler lilac to the petal tops - a really pretty combination. Good stem length for cutting. If you enjoy 'Creme de Cassis' but yearn for something a little taller, this may well be for you!
