We cannot resist good, apricot tones in dahlias, so this variety has long been a favourite. The waterlily-type flowers are the most glorious, warm colour, fading to delicate peach at the edges. Our group shot shows that the blooms are produced on long stems - perfect for cutting.

Dahlia 'Schneckenstein'
New for 2026
Here's one from the archives. Introduced in 1978 by Helmut Wolf in Germany (the name gives it away), this variety has passed the test of time, still gracing gardens across Europe to this day. The flowers are a lovely warm salmon pink and with the spiky form typical of semi-cactus dahlias. Excellent for both cutting and garden borders.

Ravishing newish variety, with pale bronze-orange petals contrasting with darker tones on the reverse of the petals. and to the flower centres. Alongside 'Creme de Cassis', it was part of the 2021/2022 dahlia trials at Wisley, where both varieties earned plaudits from the judging panel, resulting in AGMs for both.

Dahlia 'Kelsey Annie Joy'
We loved this new collarette dahlia at first sight! The main petals are soft apricot, whilst the inner florets are tipped rose-pink - an unusual and delightful combination. These open-centred dahlias are a magnet for pollinating insects, as well as being a beautiful addition to the flower border.
