Large flowers of pure white wih some green flaming. With its colouring bringing to mind a cockatoo rather than a parrot, this medium-height tulip works well on its own or as a highlight to a pastel scheme. Yellow flowers flushed orange-red and with black anthers. The flowers have an attractive  narrow form, with pointed petals. This is the wonderful pink tulip used to great effect at Arundel Castle (the first garden to be featured in Carol Klein's recent 'Great British Gardens' series). We first encountered this stunning tulip in Holland back in 2015, long before it was commercially available. We are delighted to have had stock for the last few seasons. The outsides of the petals are the very palest silver-lilac imaginable but open to reveal a more complex inner, with deeper, painterly tones of lilac suffusing from a violet-blue base and near-black anthers. Deep velvet maroon-black flowers with a satin sheen to the petals.
