Remarkable new variety, with fully petalled flowers of claret, feathering out into a broad white edge. Like a double form of 'Spitsbergen' (it comes from the same grower!). We also love the way the flowers age, echoing the fading beauty of 'La belle Epoque'.  Despite the fullness of the flowers, they hold up well on strong stems. Flowers of phlox pink, fading to nearly white at the edges, are strongly flamed with fresh green. The leaves are banded silver-white.
