This handsome, deepest maroon-black variety is a sport of Queen of Night. It flowers late, its modestly sized flowers carried on tall stems.
This is one of the last tulips to flower in our gardens, simultaneous with the white, fringed tulip 'Swan Wings', with which it combines well.
Flowering in late April - May at 24" (60cm)
