Dramatically dark blooms - the closest we have seen to a really saturated black tulip. Adding 'darks' into a colour scheme adds depth to plantings and the contrast from lighter/brighter colours prevents a 'dark hole' being created, which can happen if such darks are used on their own. We particularly like a sophisticated combination of black and white but, for a warmer scheme, the salmon-pink tones of 'Menton' pair very well with a dark tulip. Flowering April/May at 2' (60cm).
