Lychnis chalcedonica 'Carnea'
A pleasing colour break in this species with flowerheads of soft, warm, coral pink. We have had this plant in our borders for many years, having originally obtained it with the name 'Pinkie'. It works brilliantly with brooding maroons and clarets - we have it alongside trifolium rubens and sanguiisorba officinalis in our barn garden. HP. Easy in most soils given some sun. Ht.2’ (60cm).

Lychnis coronaria atrosanguineum 'Cerise'
Dazzling coloured form of this popular plant, with violet-carmine flowers set off perfectly by the soft, grey foliage. This is often early into flower but, with prompt deadheading, it will keep going well into summer. Unusual and beautiful variety with sturdy stems of ethereal white flower spikes over a long period in summer. In heavy soil, the plant tends to stay put but in lighter soil, it will spread. In mild winters, the foliage is near-evergreen. Hardy perennial for sun/partial shade. Ht. 3’ (90cm).
