Narcissus (Jonquil) Bell Song Really pretty variety with delicate pink cups and ivory perianth petals. Hardy and easy spring-flowering bulb. Ht.12” (30cm).

Narcissus bulbocodium The ‘Hoop Petticoat’ form of narcissus is delightfully different from others of the species with its simple, horn-shaped flowers of deep, shiny, golden-yellow, which appear in March/April. Petite enough for the rock garden or trough and with narrow leaves which die back discreetly after flowering. Hardy bulb. Ht.6” (15cm).

Narcissus canaliculatus Daintiness personified – Miniature wild variety of narcissus, each stem carrying 3-4 sweetly scented flowers with white, reflexed perianth and cup-shaped, golden trumpet. Hardy, spring flowering bulb. Ht. 6” (15cm).

Nectaroscordum siculum An elegant relation of the alliums, with tall stems bearing umbels of gracefully pendent white bell-flowers, flushed purple-red & green. Åfter pollination, the seed-heads stand erect. Hardy bulb for partial shade and moist, well-drained ground, where it will often naturalise. Ht. to 4’ (1.2m).

Nepeta ‘Six Hills Giant’ Tall growing variety of catmint, making bushy clumps of soft, grey-green foliage, topped with spires of lavender flowers in summer. The lovely, hazy effect of the plant is wonderful with roses. Hardy perennial for a sunny spot in moist but well-drained soil. Ht. & spread 2.5-3’ (75cm-1m).

Nepeta faassenii alba Seldom seen white flowered form of catmint. Clip back after flowering to keep bushy. HP. Ht. & spread 18”

Nepeta grandiflora ‘Dawn to Dusk’ Pink flowers combine with dark purple calyces in this attractive variety. A neat, bushy HP for sun and well-drained soil. Ht.30” (75cm).

Nepeta nuda ‘Anne’s Choice’ Stiffly branching variety smothered in myriad tiny pale blue/white flowers - almost like a small Rosemary. HP for sun & well-drained soil. Ht. 18” (45cm).

Nepeta sibirica ‘Souvenir d’Andre Chaudron’ Probably the largest individual flowers for a nepeta - a good, bright blue and salvia-like. Open habit. HP for sun/part shade in well-drained soil. Ht.30” (75cm) Spread 24” (60cm).

Nepeta subsessilis Large flowered member of the catmint family, producing its lavender-blue blooms July – Sept. HP for moist, rich soil in partial shade. Ht.28-36” (70-90cm) Spread 12-18” (30-45cm).

Nicotiana sylvestris Highly fragrant species of tobacco plant, bearing clusters of white, long-tubed flowers on stems reaching up to 6’ (2m). Perennial, but more usually grown as an annual for a spot in sun/part shade.
