At Rose Cottage Plants, our inspiration is the traditional English cottage garden, its borders bursting with exuberant planting, abounding with health, vigour, colour and scent. At the heart of this romantic ideal are a myriad of hardy perennials and bulbous plants - dahlias, tulips, alliums, fritillaria amongst others – the specialisations of our farm nursery set in the Essex countryside.

Here you will find an inspirational selection of the choicest plants – including many traditional border stalwarts as well as the new, the unusual and the rare. We grow only those plants we are passionate about and grow them well, to give the performance of their lives. The nursery is easily accessible from London and the surrounding counties but you can also see us at a number of Plant Fairs, Garden Shows & Farmers Markets.

During 2010, the nursery will be open by appointment only and for special events which we will publicise here on the website.

A fully illustrated, on-line Mail Order service is available, in spring & autumn, for dry bulbs. In spring, these include dahlia tubers, and in autumn, alliums, fritillarias, tulips and narcissus, amongst many others.
